Floods? Broken water pipes? Backed up sewage lines? Overflowing toilets? Sump pump failure? Over-run bathtubs? Waterbed leakage? Clogged up dishwashers? If you have any of these problems, York Carpet Cleaning offers 24 hours, 7 day a week emergency clean-up services.
Our professionally trained technicians are specialists at dealing with water damage. We offer the following water damage restoration services:
- Emergency service: If you have a problem, call us immediately. We will be there to help minimize lasting damage and begin clean up at once.
- York Carpet Cleaning has specialized instruments that can detect the presence of moisture behind walls and under flooring. Ignoring “hidden moisture” can lead to further water damage.
- “Hidden moisture” or moisture that is not addressed at once can lead to the flourishing of mold, mildew and microorganisms that endanger health.
- Extraction of dirt and water from walls, flooring and carpeting.
- Sanitation of water damaged areas.
- Carpet odor and mildew treatment if necessary.
- We provide special large volume air movers that will direct air along walls, carpeting and flooring to speed drying.
- We can provide commercial dehumidifiers if the air is humid or the drying time is extensive.
TIPS FOR WATER DAMAGE EMERGENCIES:
- Wipe furniture dry and block it up so that damage does not occur.
- Lift drapes off the carpeting, loop them through a coat hanger, and hang the coat hanger on the curtain rod.
- Open closet doors, furniture drawers, and luggage to allow air to circulate and speed drying. Wipe dry where possible.
- Move photographs, paintings, and treasured objects to a dry, safe area.
- Remove wet fabrics and dry them as soon as possible.
- Remove damp books or paperwork from shelves and open them to speed up drying.
- DO NOT use any electrical appliances or lamps on wet carpeting or flooring. This can cause shorting out of the wires and possible electrocution.
- Do not use an ordinary vacuum cleaner to remove water.
- DO NOT enter rooms with standing water until the electricity is turned off!!!
- Do not lift carpeting that is tacked down, as doing so could cause damage to the backing as well as stretching of the material. Wait for a professional.
- Limit traffic on the carpeting or flooring until it has thoroughly dried.
If you have a water emergency, call York Carpet Cleaning for immediate help! We will be there to provide care.
